Hello everybody! Sorry it's been quiet over here - I'll try and post things a bit more regularly now there seems to be more activity on Dreamwidth.

So, to return to an old, reliable question, what are you singing at the moment, and are you enjoying it? Any summer (or winter!) concerts coming up?

Personally, I'm having a slightly panicked look at the Langlais Messe Solennelle, which we are singing on Sunday...

Coincidentally, I skipped choir practice tonight. :p So I have no idea what we'll be singing on Sunday! Whee! (Last week was "All Praise Rising," fun to sing.)

My other choir is off for the summer, since it's on the academic schedule. We did the Mozart Requiem this spring, though. My first time.

I'm not singing at all these days. Every time I think about it I realize I don't want to perform, just sing. Sometimes I think it would be fun to re-join a church choir but really want my Sundays more than I want singing.

I suspect I should get back to Shape Note...

A bunch of West Gallery stuff for London Gallery Quire: we had a concert this week, and we're doing the second half of recording a CD on 1st July so everything is geared toward that at the moment. It includes one of my own compositions, and should be good.

University of London Church Choir is singing at the Old Royal Naval College Chapel in Greenwich on Sunday 2nd July, and we're doing... er, Darke in F, I think, and a Gibbons verse anthem (lovely stuff!).

And the Cathedral Singers of Ontario will be at Lincoln Cathedral for a week later this summer. Smith responses, Darke in F (again!) for the Eucharist, really rather a lot of Stanford, but also Weelkes and some Noble.
